MONUMENTS AND MUSEUMS

Citywalls With a toal length of 45 km. the city is walled as an enormous fortress with graceful gates.
The Bab Mansur el-Aleuj is one of the most well known of them and was built by a converted christian.

Mausoleum The Masoleum of Moulay Ismaïl consists of three rooms. The building offers a great deal of spectaculair details to the eye.

Medersa Bou Inania This Koranschool has been founded in the 14th century and is open to public. Her you can find a splendid courtyard with fountain for the washing ritual. At the top galery you find student cells, locked away from the outside world to study the Koran fully concentrated.

Museum Dar Jamaï In this palace from the 19th century the museum of Moroccan arts & crafts is founded. Here you will find amongst other things: woodwork, ceramic, tapistry, costumes, juwellery and metalwork.
